CHAMLIJA Pinot Noir 2014 (Turkey)

Medium-bodied. We detected raspberry and a bit vanilla scents. We let it sit for 30 mins after taking our first sip - subtle and young. As the aromas aerated, flavors started to mellow out and soften with a lot of toasted red fruit notes showing. Young but full of aging potential. It still tasted fantastic and juicy after 2 days (well kept in the fridge). Very good-value.
Deep red with a very young looking, strong violet hue which confirms low Ph of the wine. Smells of lightly-cooked damson fruit, freshly cut hay, tea and plenty of spice . Offers a silky mouth feel and the saturation of sweet black fruits common to all of the wines in Chamlija collection, and finishes with deep meatiness, distinct chalkiness, and slightly grainy tannins. Probably, the best Pinot Noir Vintage for Chamlija.
