Domaine la Terrasse d'Elise L'Enclos 2014

Pure enchanting Mourvèdre, The Enclosure of La Terrasse d'Elise is a real success. Her dress is intense, almost impenetrable, promising a wine with a lot of flesh. On the nose, it is a beautiful bouquet blending floral notes, chocolate, with a lot of spices and hints of scrubland. The mouth is fleshy and greedy, silky at discretion, and stretches in a long finish on spices, with a lot of freshness. Very good aging potential for this wine, already superb today.

Grapes are hand-picked and destemmed. Natural fermentation (indigenous yeasts used) without too much extraction during maceration . Wine is aged for 12 months in old oak barrels.

In the vineyard, the vineyard is driven with care and application. Soils are worked and harvest work in green is done to limit yields, barely 20hl / ha. Here, there is no chemical fertilizer or weed killer. The estate's management is inspired by biological and biodynamic principles. The grapes are harvested at maturity, and harvested manually.

In the cellar, vinification is traditional, in indigenous yeasts and without much extraction. The harvest is the least triturated possible. The wines are then aged in barrels for 12 to 24 months, depending on the vintage and the vintage. The wines are then unfiltered and little sulphited.
